Blue Lawn Designs Tea Towel - Two Ringneck Parrots
The Australian ringneck (Barnardius zonarius) has adapted to all Australian conditions. Generally they nest in hollows in tree trunks where four or five white oval eggs are laid. Its call has been described as ‘ringing’, and in Western Australia has the nickname ‘Twenty-eight’ based on its distinctive call, which some think sounds like ‘twenty-eight, although the French equivalent, ‘vingt-huit’ sounds more accurate - possibly named thus by early French explorers.
Screen printed by hand in Fremantle on 100% Linen.
The fabric size is 50 x 70cm and the printed area is approximately 41 x 55cm.
