Blue Lawn Designs Tea Towel - Black Cockatoos in Flight
The Red-tailed Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banskii) is found throughout much of Australia with the subspecies, C. b. naso found in the southwest between Perth and Albany. It is called Karrak by the Noongar people of the southwest. Nests are found in large vertical hollows of tall, isolated trees that may be used for many years. A clutch of 1 to 2 white eggs is laid.
